Katarzyna is a Ph.D. candidate at the WisPerMed Research Training Group in cooperation with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine since the beginning of 2022. Previously, as part of her master's thesis, she dealt with the Deep Learning-based segmentation of lung tumors on CT data using Generative Adversarial Networks. During her current research, she primarily focuses on implementing and evaluating state-of-the-art explainability methods. In addition, she investigates how Explainable AI can be successfully deployed at the Point of Care concerning trust, bias reduction, and comprehensibility by physicians.
