Kamyar completed his masters degree in Medical Informatics at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund . The topic of his master thesis was the development and evaluation of a Natural Language Processing (NLP) pipeline to extract FHIR resources from unstructured medical data. Currently, he is working on a NLP pipeline to anonymize clinical documents with the aim to integrate this pipeline into the hospital workflow. He further wants to use NLP for the extraction of various medical phenotypes.
